MSU Collecting Farm Supplies for Hurricane Victims

The Kentucky Department of Agriculture is collecting farm supplies and livestock feed for farmers in the regions affected by the hurricanes.
The collection location in the Heartland is at Murray State University at the Livestock and Exposition Center. As part of the effort, the Kentucky Cattlemen's Association will collect cash and credit card donations that will be used to buy needed supplies to supplement donated items.
New farm supplies being collected include:
  • Barbed wire
  • T-posts or wood posts
  • Chain saws
  • Electric fence chargers (solar & electric)
  • Electric fence wire, posts and related supplies
  • Fence post drivers
  • Brace wire
  • Gates, 12' & 16'
  • Woven wire
  • Bagged livestock feedHay rings
  • Water tubs
You can drop off supplies at the MSU Livestock and Exposition Center, 2101 College Farm Road, Murray KY from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and after hours by appointment Monday through Friday. The drive ends October 7th.
