Couple accused of stealing from Paducah, KY motel

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, a Symsonia couple is accused of taking thousands of dollars from a Paducah, Kentucky motel.

Ashley N. Whittington and Shawn T. Nance, who were employees of Super 8 Motel on James Sanders Blvd., are accused of taking more than $11, 500.

Investigators said the motel's owner told police she installed surveillance cameras because cash had gone missing from the business.

The owner witnessed on video Nance, who was off-duty, while Whittington was at the front desk.

Detectives learned the couple had allegedly been stealing for six weeks. Whittington was arrested on Wednesday and Nance on Thursday.

Both were booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Both were arrested on a warrant for unlawful taking more than $10,000 but less than $1 million.
