(KFVS) -

A very wet afternoon and early evening are in the forecast for the Heartland.

Some areas may even have some thunderstorms, but heavy rain will be a concern with slow-moving storms.

Localized flooding could be an issue. Highs will be in the low to mid-80s.

Isolated showers and storms are possible through the early evening.

Roadways in Perry County, Missouri are covered with water in some areas. The bridge at 710 & Hwy CC is submerged. Hwy 51S has water over the road near Friendly Valley. Drivers are urged to use caution.

There is a small chance of isolated showers and storms this weekend, but most of the Heartland will stay dry.

Temperatures are looking to stay near average in the upper 80s, but higher humidity levels will still stick around.
