College students give Cape Girardeau drive-thru a facelift

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

While Stevie's Steakburger on Broadway Steet in Cape Girardeau, Mo. is closed for renovation, Southeast Missouri State University students are giving the drive-thru wall a facelift.

The 40 foot mural is "Symbols, Signs, Yours and Mine."

Jordan Compas, the marketing coordinator for Stevie's, tapped Southeast Associate Professor Justin Miller for the mural.  He, along with a number of students, finished the project over the course of five days.

Miller says each of the students who worked on the project had their own unique panel to paint on.

    A search is underway for an inmate that escaped from the Pulaski County Detention Center, in Ullin, Illinois. According to Gayla Jones, a contract liaison with the Detention Center, two inmates escaped from the facility and one has been caught.
