Body found at Poplar Bluff park identified; no foul play suspected

POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS) -

Authorities are investigating after a body was found in Sportsman's Park in Poplar Bluff on Monday, July 9.

According to Butler County Coroner Andy Moore, the body of a male was found around 7 a.m. on Monday.

Moore said the man has been identified as 38-year-old Jamie Bell.

He said at this time, they do not believe foul play was involved. An autopsy has not been scheduled and they're hoping toxicology reports will help determine the cause of death.

Poplar Bluff police, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office and the coroner’s office is investigating.
