PERRY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Multiple crews responded to a house fire north of Uniontown in Perry County on Highway 61 South on Saturday, July 7.
According to Perry County Fire Rural Protection Assistant Chief, the owners were not home. A passerby saw smoke and called the owners.
They believe it was an electrical fire that started in a light switch in a bedroom closet. The fire then spread from there into the bedroom. There was heavy smoke and water damage throughout the home.
Highway 61 is now open after they closed the road for clean-up.
Crews on the scene and assisted were Perry County Fire Rural Protection Association, East Perry County Fire & Rescue, Frohna Altenburg Fire Department and Beihle Community Fire Department.
