Paducah man struggling on bike arrested for methamphetamine

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A Paducah man was arrested on methamphetamine charges on Saturday, March 24.

Deputies saw the man attempting to ride a bicycle on Front Road at 10:59 p.m.

55-year-old James E. Stafford appeared to have difficulties operating the bike and had wet and muddy clothing.

Deputies made contact with Stafford to check his welfare.

It was determined Stafford had wrecked his bike several times before the deputies spotted him.

Stafford was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine.

He was arrested and charged with:

1) Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)

2)  Drug Paraphernalia – buy/possess

He was also transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
