ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Two recent polls show conflicting results between U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., and possible Republican Senate Challenger Josh Hawley.

In a poll released last week from Axios/Survey Monkey, McCaskill was 8 percentage points behind Hawley. The poll, which was conducted between Feb. 12 and March 5, used a sample of 17,289 registered voters in Missouri, Michigan, Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Montana, Indiana and North Dakota.

The poll listed McCaskill, Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Jon Tester in Montana as the three most vulnerable senators.

A poll released Monday by Gravis Marketing showed a conflicting result, with McCaskill a narrow 2 percentage points above Hawley. In their poll, 18 percent of voters remained undecided.

The current Missouri attorney general, Hawley, has not yet been selected as the GOP nominee in Missouri. Missouri’s primaries are scheduled for Aug. 7.

More than half of the 17 people killed when a tourist boat sank on a Branson lake were members of the same Indiana family, and they likely wouldn't have been on the ill-fated trip but for a ticket mix-up.
