First Alert: Wind chills back below zero

(KFVS) - There could be a few flurries overnight tonight, but best precipitation chances will be Sunday into Monday.

The arctic air just doesn't want to move out of the Heartland.

Once the sun sets, temperatures Thursday night will fall into the upper teens and lower 20s pretty quickly.

Friday looks partly cloudy and cold. Highs will reach the lower to middle 20s far north to lower 30s in the far south.

We are still watching for the possibility of some wintry precipitation before the rain takes over Sunday into Monday.

A short period of freezing rain and/or sleet are possible.
