GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Two people are behind bars in Graves County, Kentucky after a man was reportedly shot and killing during a burglary.
According to a release from Kentucky State Police, the victim showed up at a Mayfield hospital around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6.
Timothy Roper, 46, of Mayfield died at the hospital.
Troopers with the Kentucky State Police arrested Miranda K. Murphy, 32, and Joshua A. White, 28, both of Mayfield, Kentucky, around 8:20 p.m. on Nov. 7.
Investigators say Roper, Murphy, and White forced their way into a home on McNeil Road in Boaz, Ky. to rob the homeowner.
All three are accused of robbing and assaulting the homeowner who then fired a shot, hitting Roper.
Autopsy results confirmed Roper died as a result of a single gunshot wound to his upper torso.
Both Murphy and White are charged with complicity to commit first degree burglary and complicity to commit first degree robbery.
Murphy also faces a charge of first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
