Phone service restored for most of Wayne County, MO

WAYNE COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Phone service has been restored to the majority of people who live in Wayne County, Missouri.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Department, both cell phones and landlines were experiencing trouble on Sept. 4.

Officials said fiber optic cable was cut near Williamsville and the majority of the county was affected.
