Rams sign seventh-round draft pick Hedgecock
ST. LOUIS (AP) - The St. Louis Rams agree to terms with their seventh-round pick in the 2005 draft, running back Madison Hedgecock. Terms of the deal announced today were not disclosed. Hedgecock is the second of St. Louis' eleven drat picks to agree to a contract. Safety Jerome Carter reached a deal with the Rams in April. Hedgecock, the 251st pick overall, was primarily a fullback at North Carolina. He is expected to compete for the starting fullback job against incumbent Joey Goodspeed. Hedgecock was voted the top blocking back in the Atlantic Coast Conference his senior year. The Rams' training camp begins July 28th at their training complex west of St. Louis.
