Missing 11-year-old from Tallapoosa County found in GA

TALLAPOOSA CO., AL (WSFA) -

An 11-year-old Tallapoosa County girl, who went missing Sunday morning, has been found in Georgia.

The Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Department says Victoria Skye Smith was found in Walker County, GA by a sheriff’s deputy. Smith was given a ride to Walker County but who gave her the ride and why remains under investigation.

“She is safe now and in good hands,” officials said.

More information surrounding Smith’s disappearance is expected to be released.
