Mayfield, KY man accused of breaking into Murray restaurant

MURRAY, KY (KFVS) -

A Mayfield, Kentucky man is facing charges after he allegedly broke into a Murray restaurant on Tuesday morning, January 3.

According to Kentucky State Police, they received a report at around 8:30 a.m. of a person inside The Keg Restaurant in Murray, Ky., trying to take items from the restaurant.

Troopers were one block away when they heard the report.

KSP said they responded and found Austen C. Misner, 23, of Mayfield, inside the closed business.

Misner was taken into custody and charged with burglary third degree; attempted theft by unlawful taking under $500; public intoxication; possession of a controlled substance first degree, second offense; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Misner was taken to the Calloway County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
