First Alert Weather Outlook:

The fog lingers! While it may be mild temperature-wise as you head out the door this morning, the fog could impact your commute for a second day. Fog advisories remain in effect for much of the Heartland. The fog and drizzle should go away as a cold front moves in, bringing colder temps and breezy conditions. Expect wind gusts of 10-20 mph. FIRST ALERT: It will be much colder the rest of the week with highs in the 20s and 30s.

Making Headlines:

Attempted burglary: An attempted burglary at a  is under investigation in McCracken County. According to the sheriff's department, Logan McKinney, 18 of Paducah, is accused of attempting to break into the Superway gas station at 3209 Lone Oak Road late Monday night.

Under investigation: We've learned the identities of the four people who died in a plane crash near Vienna on New Year's Eve. Curt R. Terpstra, 34, Jordan Linder, 35, Jasmine Linder, 26, Krista Green, 37, all died in the crash. All are from Iowa.

Behind bars: A man is behind bars after firing a rifle at a driver in another car in Calloway County on Monday morning. According to the Calloway County Sheriff's Office, 53-year-old Howard Kaler of Hickory, Kentucky, was arrested after a dispute on Newsome Road, northwest of Kirksey, around 11 a.m.

Deadly storms: A line of severe thunderstorms spawned several possible tornadoes across the south Monday. Four people were killed when a tree fell on their mobile home in Rehobeth, Alabama.
