Traffic stop leads to drug arrest in McCracken Co.

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A 36-year-old Ledbetter woman is behind bars after deputies find drug paraphernalia in her car during a traffic stop.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, Ashley Wooldridge was in the passenger seat when the driver she was traveling with was pulled over for traffic violations on Dixie Avenue just after midnight on Friday, Dec. 30.

When deputies pulled over the car, deputies say they saw Wooldridge placing something under her seat.

Further investigation showed Wooldridge had placed a bag containing methamphetamine, several syringes, and other paraphernalia items under her seat. 

At that time, Wooldridge was arrested and transported to McCracken County Regional Jail.

The driver of the vehicle was released.

Wooldridge is facing charges for possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, possessing drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.
