Malden man sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to sodomy

DUNKLIN COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A Malden man will spend the next seven years in prison after pleading guilty to a charge of sodomy.

Jennings Earl "Chris" White, 61, changed his plea to guilty in court on Dec. 8.

White was arrested in February of 2015 and has been in the Dunklin County Jail since his arrest.

The investigation started after someone told investigators that White had child pornography in his home.

During the investigation, officers learned that White made sexual advances against a juvenile by exposing himself and touching the child inappropriately on more than one occasion.

White was initially charged with statutory sodomy 1st degree, but that was amended down to statutory sodomy 2nd degree as part of a plea deal.

The judge gave White credit for time served in the county jail.

He is serving that seven year sentence at the Eastern Reception Diagnostic Correctional Center in Bonne Terre.
