MURRAY, KY (KFVS) -

A Murray, Kentucky man was arrested on Christmas Day after police allegedly found multiple drugs and learned of domestic assault while checking on him.

On December 25, Murray police officers responded to a house on North 17th Street to check on a resident.

While there they made contact with Thomas Sullivan, 32, of Murray.

Inside the home officers found a marijuana pipe and some loose marijuana. Sullivan was then walked outside to check on a warrant issued in his name.

While Sullivan was outside a female resident who lives with him told police about another incident that had recently occurred, where she was injured by Sullivan, and him not allowing her to go to the hospital for treatment.

She also allowed officers to search the home to be sure no other drugs were present.

During the search officers found more marijuana along with a scale and items with residue that was tested to be methamphetamine, and 1 gram of methamphetamine in a plastic capsule.

Based on the information provided and the items discovered, a warrant was issued and served on Sullivan for the charges of assault (domestic violence), unlawful imprisonment, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
