First Alert Weather Outlook:

Thursday looks cool and clear, but it might not be a good day to take down your outdoor Christmas decorations. Brian says it will be breezy, with wind gusts of over 30mph. Waking up temps will be in the 30s, and expect a high temperature between 45 and 50 degrees. FIRST ALERT: Your New Year's weekend looks to be rainy off and on both Saturday and Sunday.

Making Headlines:

New kind of evidence: Authorities investigating the death of an Arkansas man whose body was found in a hot tub want to expand the probe to include a new kind of evidence: any comments overheard by the suspect's Amazon Echo smart speaker. Amazon said it objects to "overbroad" requests as a matter of practice, but prosecutors insist their idea is rooted in a legal precedent that's "as old as Methuselah."

Wanted: Two people have been identified as those responsible for the Christmas Day shooting that put a 7-year-old and her father in the hospital. Helena West Helena Police Chief Virgil Green said Dontaris Thomas,19, and Hakeem Williams,19, are believed to be the people responsible for the shooting.

Under investigation: Jonesboro police are investigating the apparent homicide of two men found dead inside a home last night. Police say the two men were acquaintances but authorities were not able to positively identify them. Police do not know the cause of death but do suspect foul play.

Helicopter crash: Divers worked throughout the night off the coast of Texas to recover the bodies of two Army National Guard members that were killed when their Apache helicopter crashed. The chopper went down yesterday afternoon in Galveston Bay.
