CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Several suspects could face criminal charges after stealing packages left at homes in southeast Missouri.

The Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department, the Cape Girardeau Police Department and the Sikeston Department of Public Safety are all investigating reports of thieves taking packages that were delivered to homes.

The sheriff's department says the suspects in these incidents have been identified and charges are pending.

Police are looking for the owner of two hooded sweatshirts that were stolen by the suspects and recovered during the investigation.

Investigators are hoping through word of mouth they will be able to track down who ordered the shirts.

The sheriff's department encourages anyone ordering Christmas gifts to take advantage of tracking services.

Using the tracking service, you can try to be home or have someone you trust pick up the package as soon as it gets delivered.

Orders can also be delivered to your place of employment.
