JACKSON, MO (KFVS) -

Many offices at the Sanitation Department and Recycling Center will close for the  Christmas and New Year's Day holidays. Both of those holidays are observed on Mondays.

People with Monday trash routes should set their bags to the curb on Tuesday. Tuesday's routes will remain unaffected.

In addition, Jackson will be accepting and recycling Christmas trees at a special location at the recycling center. Lights, ornaments, tinsel and other decorations should be completely removed before dropping off trees.
