ARBYRD, MO (KFVS) - Before the cold air rushed in Saturday evening, some areas of the Heartland were plagued by other forms of severe weather.
It was reported by the Dunklin County Sheriff's Department that a possible tornado touched down near Arbyrd, Missouri, just outside of Kennett on Saturday, Dec. 17.
Authorities say there were no reports of serious storm damage in the area minus a few reports of tree limbs on the roads which crews were able to quickly clean up.
One man who claimed to have seen the tornado touch down said he was immediately taken aback.
"Well, I didn't know what to think to be honest with you," John Daniel said. "I was just more flabbergasted that the sirens weren't going off. That's why i went into the business to tell people to take shelter."
