Traffic stop on I-24 leads to drug arrest

LYON COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A Kentucky man is facing several charges after a traffic stop in Lyon County.

A trooper with the Kentucky State Police stopped Tobias Harvey, 36, of Central City around 12:30 p.m. on Interstate 24.

During the interaction with Harvey, the trooper smelled marijuana and "observed several indicators of criminal activity."

During a search of Harvey's car, troopers found six grams of crystal methamphetamine, seven Xanax tablets, over $4,000 is cash, and a gram of marijuana.

Harvey faces charges of trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana.

    A search is underway for an inmate that escaped from the Pulaski County Detention Center, in Ullin, Illinois. According to Gayla Jones, a contract liaison with the Detention Center, two inmates escaped from the facility and one has been caught.
