First Alert Weather Outlook:

Bundle up, the Heartland is looking at the coldest day so far this season. Waking up temperatures will be well below 20-degrees. Add in the wind, and it will feel more like 10-degrees! And it will be cold all day. Expected highs won’t get above freezing. FIRST ALERT: The weekend looks messy and cold. Expect a rainy and windy Saturday, which will turn into a cold and blustery Sunday.

Making Headlines:

Under investigation:  An eastern Kentucky hospital has canceled its live Nativity display after a camel handler was accused of animal cruelty. That action was taken after a woman posted a video on Facebook showing a Jackson, MO man shoving a camel, apparently to get it to lie down, then punching the animal in the head.

Searching for suspects: Police in Steele are looking for two men accused of robbing a convenience store. One of the suspects was armed with a gun. The men got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Total loss: The building that houses the Nesselrodt-Campbell Gin Company caught on fire late Wednesday night. Firefighters say the building is a total loss.
