KSP identifies victims in crash that killed 4, injured 1

CALDWELL COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

The Kentucky State Police has identified the victims in a crash in Caldwell County, Kentucky that killed four people on Saturday, Dec. 10.

Thomas B. Hughes, 66, of Princeton, Kentucky, Raymond C. Vilvens, 73, and Carolyn J. Vilvens, 69, both of Batavia, Ohio, were killed in the crash. Linda S. Franz, 65, of Milford, Ohio, also died in the crash.

Another passenger, Mary Vilvens, was air lifted to Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, Indiana, were she was listed in critical condition.

The crash occurred at the 79 mile marker of I-69 just before 11 a.m. Saturday.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro, driven by Hughes, was traveling northbound on I-69. For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the vehicle. The Camaro then crossed the median, entering the southbound lane of traffic where it collided into a 2014 Ford Explorer, driven by Raymond C. Vilvens.
