Sam Houston State defeats SIU 79-73

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

The Sam Houston State men's basketball team defeated Southern Illinois 79-73 Saturday afternoon in Carbondale.

The Salukis trailed 42-32 at halftime and were unable to recover.

SIU was led in scoring by Mike Rodriguez and Armon Fletcher with 14 points each.

High scoring honors for Sam Houston State went to Chris Galbreath Jr. with 26 points.

The Salukis fall to 5-5 on the season while Sam Houston State improves to 6-3.
