Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge wants to hear from you

MARION, IL (KFVS) -

Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge wants to hear from you. The Refuge is seeking public comment from November 18 through December 2 on several public uses that are up for review.

Things like: camping, swimming, picnicking, firewood cutting, haying, horseback riding, livestock grazing and others, to name a few.

The National Wildlife Refuge System Improvement Act of 1997 requires public input before permitting new or expanded uses of a refuge.

The 11 Compatibility Determinations can be read at https://www.fws.gov/refuge/crab_orchard/.  For more information, contact Neil Vincent at 618-998-5954.
