Heartland Spring Commencements

Heartland Spring Commencements
Many Heartland graduates now have the tools they need to drive off into their future, they have their degrees.

More than 1000 students attended Southeast Missouri State University's commencement on Saturday. Twelve graduated with a perfect 4.0 grade point average, with six of those students from the Heartland.

At Murray State University a record number of students applied for spring commencement.
Thousands of graduates from Southern Illinois University turned their tassels from the right side of their caps to the left on Saturday.
One of those graduating with a job already is Air Force Master Sergeant Tracey Senstock. He participated in graduation ceremonies on Saturday via satellite from Iraq. Senstock received a bachelor of science degree in information systems technologies. A slight audio problem with the feed didn't stop folks at the SIU arena from hearing all that he's accomplished.

According to a report from the national association of colleges and employers, more than 70% of those surveyed say the job market for graduates is either "good" or "very good." Employers responded by saying they'll hire more graduates this year than they did last year.
