MoDOT to honor workers killed on the job

EUREKA, MO (KFVS & UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI) -

Missouri Department of transportation officials plan to honor fallen workers during simultaneous ceremonies in September.

The ceremonies in the Southeast District will take place at MoDOT Offices in Sikeston and Willow Springs at 10 a.m. on September 15.

Those in attendance will honor workers who lost their lives working on Missouri roads.

Hosts plan to stress the importance of work zone safety, as well.

Assistant District Engineer Matt Seiler will lead the ceremony at the Sikeston office.

Chris Rutledge, an assistant District Engineer, will lead the ceremony at the Willow Springs office.

The Sikeston office is at 2675 N. Main Street in Sikeston, MO 63801.

The Willow Springs office is at 3956 East Main in Willow Springs, MO 65793.
