MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

One person was sent to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision in McCracken County, Kentucky on Sunday, September 11.

McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash with injuries at the intersection of US Hwy 45 and Lovelaceville-Florence Station Road West around noon on Sunday.

The investigation revealed that Linda Hines, 75, of Paducah, Kentucky, was driving a 2008 Toyota Sienna van east bound on Lovelaceville-Florence Station Road West. Lee Ann Heflin, 42, of Mayfield, Kentucky, was driving a 2009 Nissan Altima south bound on US Hwy 45, along with a passenger, Sawyer Heflin, 8, also of Mayfield.

Hines attempted to cross the south bound lanes of travel of US Hwy 45 and hit Heflin’s vehicle in the passenger side, causing Heflin’s vehicle to travel into the median. Heflin's vehicle came to a rest in the inside south bound lane of US Hwy 45.

Hines was taken to Lourdes ER by Mercy Regional EMS for treatment of minor injuries.

The sheriff’s office was assisted on scene by the Lone Oak Fire Department. B and A’s Towing removed both vehicles from the scene. Portions of US Hwy 45 south bound were closed or reduces to one lane of travel for more than an hour to aid in the investigation and removal of the vehicles.
