Fitness Plus to hold open house event Sept. 24

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Fitness Plus in Cape Girardeau is looking to help the public get in shape by offering a community open house on Saturday, September 24 from 9 a.m. to noon.

It's also a way for Fitness Plus to celebrate 12 years of wellness in the community.

During the open house, guests will be able to tour the facility at Saint Francis Medical Center's Health and Wellness Center, as well as try group exercise classes free of charge.

There will also be 20-minute demonstrations of nine different classes, including aerobics and body sculpting. 

Healthy snacks will be provided, and there will even be door prizes to be won.

Also, anyone who becomes a member on the day of the open house won't have to pay an enrollment fee and will receive the rest of the month for free.

Regularly scheduled 8 a.m. classes at Fitness Plus will go on as planned, but all other classes will be cancelled in preparation for the open house.
