Southeast Missouri State University teachers, students and dignitaries will dedicate the Rust Center for Media on October, 7th 2016.

The public is invited to an open house at the center the Center from 5-7 p.m.

The center is located at 325 Broadway.

Mass Communication students have been using the 13,000 square foot facility to learn and work since the fall semester started in August.

The Center contains work spaces for audio and video production, as well as the offices for Southeast’ Student paper, The Arrow and Southeast’s student advertising and student public relations firm.

“The Center exemplifies our department’s long-standing commitment to experiential learning and hands-on storytelling,” Dr. Karie Hollerbach, chair of the Department of Mass Media said.  “The most exciting aspect is that students from all four of our curricular options are working and creating together in an environment intentionally designed to develop them as mass media professionals.”
