Freebie Friday: Chick-fil-A, gum, concerts and more

Here are some free or nearly free things for you on Friday, September 9, 2016:

You can get some free gum with Kroger's Free Friday Download. For today only you can download an eCoupon for one free Stride or Dentyne Gum Single Pack. The eCoupon is only available to download today, but you have until September 28th to redeem it. To download the free eCoupon click here.

When you download or update the free Chick-fil-A app and create and account, you'll get a free breakfast item. That includes anything from the Egg White Grill to Chick-n-Minis or a Chicken Biscuit. This deal is good through the end of the month.

Here's a free reason to get out and about this evening: Cape Girardeau's Tunes at Twilight. Tonight singer-songwriter and storyteller Michael Reno Harrell takes the stage at the Common Pleas Courthouse Gazebo in downtown Cape. His original songs and stories have been described as "Appalachian grit and wit"…with a broader view of the world. The music starts at 6:30. 

Also, the Carterville Lion's Club 103rd Annual Free Fair is going on today and tomorrow at Cannon Park. The opening ceremony is at 5:00 p.m.with typical carnival fair and free entertainment. Saturday free events include the parade, a petting zoo, a ping pong ball avalanche, medieval battle performances, music and fireworks at 10:00 p.m. For the full list of events click here.
