First Alert Weather Outlook:

It’s another ponytail kind of day ahead, as a muggy morning in the Heartland leads us into a hot and humid afternoon. Highs are expected to hit the 90s, with the humidity pushing the heat index to make it feel like between 100 and 105 degrees. FIRST ALERT: There’s a good chance of rain and thunderstorms moving in tomorrow.

Making Headlines:

Under investigation: Police in Dunklin County are looking for two or three male suspects after a robbery at the J & P Flash Market. One of the suspects is believed to have a gun.

Search for answers: A reward is now being offered by the family of a woman who was found in a burned home in 2014. September 6, 2016 marked the two year anniversary of Lisa Uzzle's death, who died as a result of multiple gun shot wounds.

Reaching standards: The City of Cape Girardeau will start inspecting rental units this month to make sure all residents have the essentials in their homes like  safe electrical, heat, sanitary systems and access to clean water for bathing and cooking. The city will inspect 3,000 rental properties over a three-year period.

Will it, or won't it?: Apple is expected to show off new iPhones, an updated smartwatch - and maybe some new gear for listening to both - during its annual fall product launch event today. The big question: will the company get rid of the traditional headphone jack?
