Paducah police search for suspect in drive-by shooting

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

One man was arrested and Paducah, Kentucky police are looking for a second man in connection with a drive-by shooting late on Sunday, September 4 at Dudley Court apartments.

Derick Martin, 21, was arrested for complicity to first-degree wanton endangerment.

Police are still looking for Liwan Martin, 20, on a warrant for first-degree wanton endangerment.

According to police, a man told them at 10:53 p.m. that he was at the apartment complex when a man fired a gun at him from a passing black Chevrolet Cruze.

According to a detective, the man identified the driver as Derick Martin and the passenger as Liwan Martin.

Police say Derick Martin was found and arrested at 4:50 p.m. on Monday. He was booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Police got a warrant for Liwan Martin, but he has not been arrested. They say he is known to be armed.

According to police, the two men are not related.
