MISSOURI (KFVS) -

An AMBER Alert has been canceled after a 9-month-old boy was found safe with family in Kansas City, Missouri.

The alert was issued after the child was taken from a home in Independence, Missouri and investigators believed the man who had him was armed.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said they are still looking for the man.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Syncere Valliant was taken from 17007 East 24 Highway around 10:45 a.m.

The suspect, Robert Valliant, 31, was last seen driving a black over red 2003 Pontiac Grand AM with Missouri registration DL3V3F.

Robert Valliant has a visible neck tattoo.

If you see Robert Valliant or know his whereabouts, you are urged to call 911 immediately.
