CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Labor Day is a holiday set aside for the working class, but there are some people who work jobs and can't take off.

Firefighting is one of those jobs. But this year the Cape Girardeau Fire Department received a little special treat from Olive Garden.

The crew doesn't get to spend this time with their family, but say that this is the next best thing.

"We spend 10 days a month here with the crew members so it's our brothers and sisters," Captain John Ryan said. "So it's our second family, family away from home, and for Olive Garden to do this, it really means a lot to us."

They initially all sat down to eat all together, but some were called to an emergency before they could finish.
