Arson, burglary investigation under way after home catches fire in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Police are investigating a possible arson and burglary incident after a home caught on fire in Cape Girardeau early Sunday morning.

According to Sgt. Adam Glueck, the fire department and police were dispatched to 1020 N. Clark Street around 8 a.m.

Glueck says it appears as if someone broke into the home and started a fire.

No one was home at the time the fire started.

Police have not arrested anyone.

The fire remains under investigation.
