DU QUOIN, IL (KFVS) -

Spectators in the grandstand got quite the scare on Saturday night during the demolition derby at the Du Quoin State Fair.

According to organizers of the derby, one of the vehicles in the show drove over a barrier and into the crowd. Luckily, it was going slow enough that people were able to get out to the way on time.

According to Trooper Joey Watson with the Illinois State Police, no one was hurt in the incident.

Derby organizers say an incident like this is not very common.

The Du Quoin State Fair runs through Labor Day.
