GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon is requesting the public’s assistance in finding a Graves County woman and her 6 month old infant child. That child is believed to be in danger.

Redmon says Elizabeth S. Beck Story, 30, of Mayfield, has several outstanding warrants including a charge of kidnapping.

According to Redmon, the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services was recently awarded custody of Story's two children.

Investigators believe Story took off with the baby and left the other child behind.

Redmon said the baby needs medicine and is not getting it.

We are told Story has been in contact with investigators, but is refusing to release the child.

Redmon said he is also concerned about Story's mental state right now.

The child's father is incarcerated.

It is believed she is in the Mayfield-Graves County area. If anyone has knowledge of the location of Story and her child are encouraged to report the information to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office at 270-247-4501.

Anyone that is assisting in hiding her and the child are guilty of a crime of hindering apprehension which is punishable with up to a year in jail. Investigators are asking that if you are assisting her to please call to avoid being charged.
