First Alert Weather Outlook:

You will feel a noticeable difference in the air as you walk out the door on this Thursday morning. A cold front moved through the Heartland overnight, taking with it high temps and humidity. This morning will be mild and dry with temperatures right around 70. This afternoon will be breezy and pleasant with highs in the low 80s. FIRST ALERT: Labor Day Weekend is looking beautiful, but gradually warming to another hot Monday.

Making Headlines:

Road closure: The United States Department of Agriculture said Snake Road is closing in Union County today to allow snakes and amphibians safe passage in The Shawnee National Forrest. The gradual migration lasts for two months, and attracts onlookers from across the region who are interested in seeing their instinctive path.

Semi fire: Crews are working to clear I-24 eastbound at the Grand Rivers Exit in Livingston County, Kentucky after a semi caught on fire. As of 3:30 a.m., the road remained blocked as a wrecker worked to remove the trailers.

Yard sale: The 11th annual 61-mile yard sale is set to kick off starting today. The yard sale stretches from Hubble Creek Antiques in Jackson, MO, along Highway 61, to Bloomsdale, Mo. On the Breakfast Show we'll tell you about safety concerns.

Making promises:  Donald Trump vowed Wednesday to remove millions of people living in the country illegally if he becomes president, warning that failure to do so would jeopardize the "well-being of the American people."

Bracing for the worst: While Hawaii feels the brunt of a weakening Tropical Storm Madeline and prepares for the possibility of a Hurricane Lester, the East Coast is preparing for Tropical Storm Hermine.
