WoodmenLife chapter collects food for Salvation Army

MARION, IL (KFVS) -

WoodmenLife Illinois Chapter 50 collected 516.5 pounds of food and nearly $260 at a grocery store food drive held on August 27 at Kroger in Marion, Illinois.

The food collected benefits the Salvation Army of Southern Illinois’s community pantry.  

The chapter held the food drive as part of WoodmenLife’s National Community Focus: Fight Hunger.

Since January 2015, WoodmenLife chapters across the country have collected more than 200,000 pounds of food and $370,000 for food assistance charities.

WoodmenLife was founded in 1890 as a not for profit. 

More than 700,000 WoodmenLife member customers across the country share a commitment to family, community and country.
