CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

The Carbondale Park District will host four Back-to-School Splash parties for Carbondale Elementary School District students and their families to help start the new school year.

The Splash parties will run from Tue., Sept. 6 through Fri., Sept. 9 at the Super Splash Park, 625 S. Lewis Lane, Carbondale, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Parent engagement is a very important part of a child’s education and this event aims to bring students, parents and families together in a fun and relaxing atmosphere.

All families must provide their school contact sheet in order to enter.

Attendees should bring their own swimming gear and towels.

If you bring personal floatation devices, they must be Coast Guard approved.

Anyone who wishes to use the competitive lap pool will have to pass a swimming test.
