Labor Day at Fort D
When: Monday, Sept. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Fort D Historic Site, 920 Fort Street, Cape Girardeau, MO
What: The soldiers and civilians at Fort D will be busy preparing for fall. Join the local reenactors as they demonstrate rifle and cannon fire. New recruits interested in reenacting and the general public is welcome.

61-Mile Yard Sale
When: Labor Day Weekend, Thursday, Sept. 1 to Saturday, Sept. 3
Where: Starts at Hubble Creek Antiques, 3184 N High St., Jackson, MO, Ends at Bloomsdale, MO
What: This is the most unique yard sale you've ever seen. You will find everything from custom choppers to custom built outhouses, antiques to traditional yard sale items, and everything in between. The goal is to bring traffic to businesses along Highway 61 and give others a place to sell their items.
