There have been two fires in Weakley County in just 24 hours and two families are now working to put their lives back together.
According to Captain Randall McGowan of the Weakley County Sheriff's Department, the first fire happened around 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 28.
Someone called 911 to report a home on Highway 190 near Palmersville was on fire.
McGowan said the homeowners were not home when the fire started.
Fire crews were called to another home on Union Church Road around 1 p.m. Monday.
The homeowner told investigators that when he got home this afternoon, he saw flames coming from an upstairs window.
The house is a total loss. No one was hurt.
