MCCLURE, IL (KFVS) -

A house fire is under investigation in McClure.

The Tamms Volunteer Fire Department was called out Sunday night to a report of a fire on Grapevine Trail.

Chief Webb says the fire is suspicious.

The home's tenant, George Davis, was able to get out safely.

About 25 percent of the home was burnt in the fire, the rest was damaged from heat and smoke, according to Webb.

As of 9:30 a.m. the state fire marshal was on scene to investigate.
