2 arrested in connection to meth trafficking investigation

MARSHALL COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A man and a woman were arrested in connection to a methamphetamine trafficking investigation on August 25.

Jeff Fox was charged with first degree trafficking a controlled substance first offense more than 2 grams of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

Jennifer Souder was charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance first offense-meth, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, detectives in Marshall and McCracken County were involved in a joint investigation into the trafficking of meth.

Detectives served a search warrant at 142 Denver Lane in Benton, Ky. on Thursday morning, Aug. 25.

They say they seized more than 5 pounds of meth with a street value of more than $230,000, along with a handgun. They also allegedly found digital scales, drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana.

Fox and Souder were taken to the Marshall County Detention Center.
