Energy, IL church begins second year of Awana Club

On Wednesday, August 31 at Lone Oak Baptist Church in Energy, IL Awana Christian Clubs will be starting their second year, meeting each Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.

The clubs are open to the public and they are for youth from two years old to 12th grade and they are welcome any Wednesday throughout the year.

"What we're doing is teaching the youth how to serve the Lord, each other, and the public through this program. It is Christian fundamentals taught through lessons, games and fun activities," local Awana Assistant Director Terri Cagle said. 

"Life without Christ is like life without candy. We can help with the wrapper," local Awana Director Kimberly Dyer added.

Awana currently serves more than 30,000 churches worldwide.
