MURPHYSBORO, IL (KFVS) -

Brush up on your trivia and get to Brew's Brother's Taproom in Murphysboro to support a great cause.

SIT Service Dogs is partnering with the Perry County Humane Society to come up with a win-win situation.

Of the of shelter's long-time residents, Wheeler, has the possibility of a terrific family of his own, but first, he needs some training.

The training would allow Wheeler to become an in-home companion to two boys, one of whom has special needs.

Wheeler would get the love he deserves and the family he needs. He needs to learn to play politely, move safely around the children, walk well on a leash, and become an all around good member of the community.

The training will take about a month.

SIT cannot afford to pay for all the training and doesn't want to burden the Perry County Humane Society with the bill either or his potential family.

After a meeting of the minds, they came up with a solution--a trivia night in Wheeler's honor.

Please join the group and help raise the money needed to get Wheeler out of the humane society (where he's been for three years), into a loving  home, and give two boys a dog to love.

Teams may be one to five people.

There will be door prizes, 50/50, silent auction, heads or tails, the marvelous Mr. Banks, and Wheeler himself!

If you can't make it, please send donations to SIT Service Dogs, c/o Wheeler, 519 Kilpatrick Road, Ava, IL  62907.
