The Illinois State Police responded to a deadly crash in Edwards County, Illinois on Tuesday, August 16.

The crash happened around 1 p.m., and a preliminary investigation revealed that Henry E. Matz, 62, of Carmi, Illinois, was driving northbound on Illinois Route 130 when he crossed the center line into the southbound lane. Rodney Ezra Sedrick, 35, of Mill Spring, Missouri, was driving southbound on Illinois Route 130 and saw Matz steer into his lane.
